SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Currently Post No. 573 has two scholarships that we present yearly, they are the Jr ROTC Scholarships and the Texas Boys State Scholarships.
Jr ROTC Scholarships
We currently sponsor Jr ROTC programs at Harker Heights High School, Shoemaker High School, and Copperas Cove High School. Each of these programs receive two awards and scholarships for $1,000; they are awarded for leadership and scholastics.
Texas Boys State Scholarships
Each year we send young men to Texas Boys State which is held by The American Legion, Department of Texas, at the University of Texas in Austin. Upon successful graduation from Texas Boys State, each young man will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
